Since 2008, Lou Bopp has made regular trips to Mississippi to document the end of an era of blues musicians who have made important contributions to this classic American musical genre.
Lou Bopp is a self-taught photographer who began his career with an internship at Sports Illustrated in New York City in 1992. Bopp is a freelance commercial location photographer whose clients include Time Magazine, People Magazine, Time Warner, Purina, Intel, Y & R, Nike, NYT’s and many more. Bopp’s subjects have ranged from celebrities to CEOs, musicians to technicians and his work has taken him from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange to the top of the Empire State Building to the the renowned sands of Iwo Jima.
